  • 2. “Wearables are truly upon us. …from the basements of the 70s, to the desks of the 80s, the laps of the 90s, the front rooms of the noughties and pockets of the twenty- teens…the next stop in this constant progression: if not in, then definitely on the body.” ~ Ben Hammersley, Wired
  • 3. Our first step was to create technology that was separate from us and was confined to a room
  • 4. We eventually made it smaller but it was still separate now something we carried
  • 5. Our next step is to start to make tech more a part of us as something we wear
  • 6. And yes…this is where we are headed
  • 7. 19.2 million 2014 111.9 million 2018 And it’s begun
  • 8. Complex accessories will remain most popular through out 2018 due to low price and ease of use
  • 9. Smart accessories will continue to gain momentum and are expected to surpass Complex by 2018
  • 10. Smart wearables have the longest road to take and are expected to see slower growth
  • 11. But Wearable Tech isn’t new
  • 12. So why are we ready?

  • 14. Document Our Lives
  • 15. Augment Ourselves
  • 16. Create New Realities
  • 17. Express Ourselves in New Ways
  • 18. Express Ourselves in New Ways As well as new problems
  • 19. But the time is right and its happening now
