  • 4. Hunting Rifles/ Shotguns  Used for hunting Primarily  Magazine count varies
  • 5. Assault Weapons  Military grade weapons modified for Civilian use  High Capacity magazines  Designed for harming and maiming humans  Including Submachine guns
  • 6. Federal Ban of Assault Weapons  The Brady Bill  Enacted under Bill Clinton’s Presidency  Banned the sale of Semi-Auto Assault Rifles  Expired in 2004 at the end of the bill’s term

  • 11. Does it really work?  The assault weapon ban from 1994-2004  1982-1994- 19 shootings, 25.5 people shot per year avg.  1995- 2004- 16 shootings, 20.9 people shot per year avg.  2005-2012- 27 shootings, 54.8 people shot per year avg.
  • 12. The Second Amendment  It is an out dated bill  Weapons were muskets not high cap. Mags and semi-auto rifles.  Designed for killing and maiming
  • 13. Cont.  Amendment II  A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

The Constituion  We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.
  • 15. The Truth  Guns don’t kill people, people kill people.  A gun can not load itself.  A gun can not shoot by itself.  A gun is an inanimate object.  People have killed each other for ages removing guns will not stop the violence.
